マーラーの交響曲第5番。この第4楽章が映画「ベニスに死す」に使われて有名になったらしい。私は「ベニスに死す」は見たことがないのでどのような場面に使われていたのかわからない。 私は伊丹十三の映画が好きで、とりわけ「タンポポ」が好きなのだけれども、その中でこのマーラーの交響曲第5番第4楽章と第5楽章が効果的に使われていていたく感激してしまった。クラシックの本をたまに見るけれど「ベニスに死す」のことは書いてあるけれど、「たんぽぽ」のことは書いてない。評論家は海外の映画などではなく、もっと日本の映画にも目を向けてほしいと思う。 私は交響曲はほとんど聞かないが、この曲は曲想が美しくてかわいいし、あまり押し付けがましくないので時々聴いている。ただし第4楽章から(^_^;)。マーラー:作品集 「たんぽぽ」のDVD。今はどうか知らないけれど。数年前は日本では発売されておらず、海外からの逆輸入のみだった。それで買ったので、タイトルなどの表記は全て英語で、英語の字幕が標準で付いている。ちょっと不思議な感じ。でも面白い。日本では「マルサの女」や「ミンボーの女」ほどには人気がなかったようだが、私はこれらの映画よりよほど「たんぽぽ」のほうが好きだ。伊丹十三。おしい映画監督をなくしてしまった。面白い映画をもっともっと作ってほしかった。本当に残念なことと思う。
